Hey You!

My name is Tara Smith and I am the human behind the lens of Divulged by Tara Danei. Creating art has been a part of my life in some capacity for as long as I can remember. Creating something new and beautiful for the world is what drives my passion. Connecting with people is what fuels my heart and soul.

I am constantly intrigued by varying personalities and what makes people tick. I believe our stories are meant to be told and preserved. I am a nerd for color, pattern, and plants, though I tend to kill most that come into my possession. I believe in taking chances and jumping in with both feet. I think kindness is always the answer. And self love is imperative. Living for maximum experience is what awakens the soul and makes us feel alive.

The moment I stopped worrying about what anyone else expected or thought of me was the moment I discovered happiness. When you are at peace with who you are, you can open your eyes to a world of possibilities and find your calling in this crazy world. It is my mission to connect to and liberate as many hearts from Society's choke hold as I possibly can so they, too, can find self acceptance and confidence.

Why do I shoot Boudoir, you ask?

I’m in it for the beauty. Yup I said it. In writing for the world to see. Now before you stick that nose up and turn back around, let me dive deeper. I’m not talking about the beauty you see on the cover of a magazine, mutilated by society’s ideal standards of beauty-though I do believe ALL of my clients deserve to be on that cover. I’m not even talking about the beauty you can see-you know, the kind you smother all over your face at $100 a bottle or the beauty you uncomfortably stuff your hot bod into and continue to take half breathes the rest of the evening hoping that button doesn’t pop. Nope. That beauty can shove it and kiss our coveted perfect tush shot.

I’m talking about the beauty of a woman seeing herself the way her man has seen her every single day. I’m talking about the beauty of someone who has decided enough is enough and it was time they loved theirself now—with that last 5 pounds still intact—because life is too short and the cake is worth celebrating over. I’m talking about the beauty of someone who finally stopped caring what anyone else thinks and started doing whatever makes their soul smile. I’m talking about the beauty of confidence and self-love.

Shooting intimate portraits allows me to give women that intellectual beauty transformation.....AND THEN photograph the *expletive* out of them in such a way that anyone looking at the set of images stops dead in their tracks in awe of the subject's badassery, confidence, and beauty.

Who are these shoots for?

My beauty and boudoir clients range from the recently single who are celebrating their "re-release" into the world, to the mother of 4 who hasn't done anything for herself in a decade. The single and proud who wants to celebrate self-love, to the college grad who is tired of feeling "cute" and wants to rock her sexy. The man who understands self-love isn’t just for the ladies, to the creative who just wants to feel like a work of art.

So, in case I haven't made my point clear....These sessions are for YOU. You are going to leave this experience walking a little taller, head held high, radiating confidence you didn’t know existed.
