Monday Mantras | Kansas City Boudoir Photographer

Do you practice saying mantras to either support positivity or manifest your dreams? I’ve only started in the last couple of years. And I will admit I am not consistent at it. I do find that reading or saying a mantra when I am feeling down does help lift my mood a bit. It certainly doesn’t hurt anything to try right?

MONDAY MANTRAS

(Repeat aloud or in your head)

All that I need is drawn to me.

My success is for certain.

I can achieve greatness.

I attract all good things to me.

My potential is limitless.

I am very much still playing catch up on blogging session images. And that’s ok. 2021 is about progress over perfection here. Enjoy these images of Meaghan from our session in early 2020.

SESSION DETAILS

Grid Door/Black Walll Set- I really love using this corner for timeless intimate portraits. The set is minimal, which allows you to take center stage. I am also able to tweak this set with just a few additions to create a totally different look. For Meaghan’s session, I added in the floral bench for a feminine touch. We kept this set classic and modest by pairing a gartered outfit she brought in.

Living Room Set -I almost always recommend this set, especially if it’s your first session. We usually start the session here. It’s a comfortable set to warm up to the camera with and the light is always stunning on every single client. While almost any color wardrobe will look amazing in the living room due to its versatility and minimal color pallet, I really love dark colors like jewel tones or black particularly here.

Meaghan’s Burgundy bra and panty set coordinates beautifully with this set and looks amazing on her. You don’t always have to wear fancy wardrobe looks. Sometimes something more simple is so stunning!

Clawfoot Tub Set: I really loved having the tub set on this side of the studio in 2020. (It is now on the other side and the bed set is here - both equally as amazing!) The light coming in from the 3 tall windows really makes your eyes sparkle. I loved the tropical feel of this set nestled in all of my - somehow still alive - houseplants.

Now, if you may have noticed by now, I really love emerald green! I was pretty excited when I saw the green bra and panty set she brought in. (I actually own the same set personally.) We kept with the green tones from the plants in the set and paired the green bra and panty set she brought in with the blue dyed robe in the Client Closet.
