Pottery Wheel Photoshoot | Kansas City Boudoir Photographer
GIMME MORE OF THISSSSS!!!!
I am FOREVER SWOONING over this creative pottery boudoir session I had with Jackie this summer! After Jackie booked her second Divulged session, she told me
“You can have complete creative control over the session.”
THE DREAM!!!!
If you have been around the VIP Group for long, you may recognize Miss Jackie. I love seeing you babes share your passions in the group with each other and watching her adventures behind the pottery wheel has been inspiring. I even have a couple of pieces thrown by Jackie in my home.
It has been a long time dream of mine to photograph a messy pottery wheel boudoir session - I blame it on my youthful days watching Ghost with my Grandma! SWAYZEE FOREVERRRRR!!!!!! So I was THRILLED when Jackie agreed to haul her wheel over to the studio for her session.
We styled her for a more casual vibe in a tank top and panties. I love the vintage summer mood created by hanging floral sheets and antique lace around the driveway in a laundry line set. I’m so happy Jackie trusted my vision to get extra creative by adding petals around her eye for some stunning artsy portraits!
I loved this floral style so much - I EVEN THINK THIS MIGHT BE MY FALL PERSONAL PROJECT!!!
ARE YOU READY TO HAVE YOUR OWN KANSAS CITY BOUDOIR PHOTOSHOOT?! LET’S DO THE DAMN THING!
House of Divulged is now offering in-person Styling Consultation appointments! This is an opportunity to come into the studio a couple of weeks before your session to go over your sets, styling, and product selections. The next set in the Virtual Studio Tour is where all the Badass Babes hang!

“Make sure every square inch is camera ready.”
That was the motto of this renovation and the dressing area was certainly no exception to this rule. I knew I wanted a beautiful space for clients to get dolled up before their photoshoot and I LOVE how this space came together.
The Just the Sheets set is a classic choice for a boudoir experience. “Boudoir” derives from the word bedroom, after all. The Just the Sheets Set has a fresh, clean aesthetic. The minimal set design allows maximum customization options, including 9 different colors of sheets to choose from!
“Well, it certainly doesn’t look like a dentist office anymore…”
GUYS! The soft opening of the NEW House of Divulged studio has been incredible! Several babes have already helped me break her in and it feels so good to be back in the swing of doing what I love most - making you feel like a Bad Bitch through pro level booty pics!
I’ve dreamed of attending a foam party a la Boys and Girls starring Freddie Prince Jr ever since the movie released in 2000. Have you ever seen it? When I saw this foam machine shared in one of the Boudoir Photographer Education groups I couldn’t run to Amazon fast enough to snag my own!
I was thrilled that it arrived just in time for Rachel’s Fly on the Wall session! I was even more delighted that she was up for my shenanigans to test it out LIVE in the VIP group!
Have you ever avoided something for a long time - using every excuse in the book not to do it - and then afterwards thought “that really wasn’t as bad as I made it out to be…” ‘cuz same. That was exactly the scenario when it came to last week’s Fly on the Wall Friday Set.
I kept avoiding going LIVE while I photographed someone in the Shower Set. I had every excuse why it wouldn’t go smoothly.
You know what is really bringing me a lot of joy lately? These Fly on the Wall Friday sessions that I have been shooting LIVE in the Facebook VIP group! Seriously though - I’m not just saying that. It brings my 2 favorite things together - photoshoots and community - for a fun chat while I photograph a muse in the studio. I’ve had several people in the group reach out and say that they really appreciate seeing what it is actually like being photographed by me. I’ve heard that it helps calm some nerves before booking their own session with me knowing that I am going to guide them through the entire process!
When I first took these self portraits. I hated them. In fact, I didn’t even look at them again for another week. Seeing them now, in a different headspace, it makes me a little sad to think about. How unfair and unkind I was to myself that day. The pictures are the exact same. I didn’t retake them. Someone didn’t sneak in and photoshop away my insecurities. I was feeling frustrated [read hormones] with my body that day. I felt sluggish and bloated and just not like myself. I ached all over and PMS was hitting my emotions hard. Now I see art, strength, and love. So I wrote an apology letter to my body from my soul and we became best friends as a result.
I freaking LOVE my birthday! I’m a “celebrate all month long” kind of girlie. Honestly, I love any excuse to celebrate - we have enough stresses and adult responsibilities to deal with - so gimme any reason to let my hair down and tink a fancy glass with friends.
