HoliDAZE | Kansas City Boudoir Photographer
I used to hide the fact that I was a Cannabis user (HEY FELLOW POTHEADS!). I was afraid people would view me differently if they knew. Or certain clients wouldn’t book a session with me. I was worried about what everyone else thought.
The truth is - Cannabis has helped me with a lot of things. Like getting off of prescriptions for anxiety and depression that had less than ideal side effects. Or assisting with migraines when pain killers did nothing. Like helping me fall asleep when my mind keeps grinding at night. Also - to be honest - it’s enjoyable. More so than drinking which just leaves me bloated and miserable.
So to hell with it. I smoke pot. If that changes your perception of me - that’s ok. I’m not everyone’s cup of tea and you don’t have to be either.
When my friends gifted me with beautiful blue and white bong (from My Bud Vase for those that are curious) I instantly started dreaming of the self portraits I would create with it! A piece this stunning is not meant to be tucked away and hidden in secret! NOPE! Mine sits on the kitchen counter with faux flowers pretending to be a vase until my next smoking session!
I knew I also wanted some fresh leaves to use in my 420 celebration portrait session, so I went on the hunt for some! My girl Kaylie really pulled through for me and had some delivered to me by the next day (with a badass coffin mind you - watch out Halloween 2021!)!
