Colorado Self Portrait Session | Kansas City Boudoir Photographer
HAPPY FRIDAY BABES!
Recently, Tim and I took a week long trip to Keystone, Colorado to get away for a bit and so he could do some snowboarding. Since Tim teaches, he has his work schedule lined out over a year in advance - which I absolutely love! This gives us the ability to block off time together to recharge.
I’m not much of a snowboarder with my lack of coordination and all, so I mostly spent the week relaxing at the condo we rented, smoking that nice Colorado bud, and in the hot tub. No complaints from me!
I did take some time to work a bit, including a couple of self portrait sets! I loved the way the sun poured in on the table midmorning everyday and couldn’t resist practicing with new lighting situations. Self portraits give me the opportunity to try out new things without the added pressure of pleasing a client. It is also good for me to feel the poses myself when trying something different so I can better communicate it my clients later.
I am totally digging the wood filled cabin aesthetic paired with the warmth from the chandelier above the table. Equally as pleased with myself for bringing along the mustard velvet bodysuit from the client closet. I knew it was going to play well with the atmosphere here!
