Rolling in Wildflowers | Kansas City Boudoir Photographer
Man I love the first signs of Spring! I am no stranger to winter depression, so when Spring is around the corner and the wildflowers start showing up - I instantly start to feel relief that longer, warmer days are on the way!
One day when I was pulling in our driveway, I noticed that these purple wild flowers had formed a large patch right next to our house. SWOON. [SIDE STORY - I used to call these clovers - but apparently that is incorrect - Henbit? I think is what I discovered they are actually called - someone correct me if I am wrong about this.] The second I saw them - I started brainstorming a photoshoot in my head - imagining a gorgeous babe rolling around in a sea of purple. I immediately put out a request in my BoudieBassador Exclusive group looking for someone available in my free time that week.
Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to line up my schedule with any of the gals in the group that week. I knew the patch wouldn’t last very long and there was no chance I was going to miss this opportunity - so I did what I always do - and hopped in front of my own camera! I really love using self portraits as a way to express myself creatively, try new shit, and push myself as an artist. I ALWAYS learn something new. [This time - that lesson was to check if the neighbors are outside moving hay BEFORE you strip naked….bahahaha…live and learn right?! Neighbors - you are welcome!]

At its core, "The Four Agreements" is about learning to break free from the limiting beliefs and expectations of society, and embracing your true self. This is a message that resonates deeply with me as a boudoir photographer, as I see firsthand the impact that societal pressure can have on a person's self-esteem and body image.
