I have admired Hannah’s work for several years. I love the way her images have depth and life paired with beautiful, saturated color combinations. The workshops in Nashville last November with The Boudoir Class were the perfect combination of inspiration, location, and timing that I needed! The final class I took last fall was Cinematic Experience with Hannah Rachael Photography. I am SO PUMPED about the new lighting tricks I learned during this workshop!

Can we talk about the elephant in the room for a second? MONEY is a topic many people tend to shy away from but I think it’s important to talk about. There are many misconceptions about boudoir and sometimes inquiring clients get sticker shock when I send them my pricing. I get it. We see posts all the time of our local photographer offering family sessions for as little as $100. So when I send you my price guide and there are 4 numbers before the decimal - it's shocking. However, I find that usually sticker shock comes from clients not being fully educated on what a boudoir session entails.

Sara Starchild and Christina Meerloo taught a VERY important class in Nashville with The Boudoir Class last fall on photographing BDSM and KINK themes that went beyond just cool poses with bondage props. The workshop covered everything from consent and safety, to the emotional nuances and importance of client prep and post care in BDSM/KINK scenarios. They covered power dynamics and of course cool poses with bondage props as one would expect. I am OBSESSED with the workshop location they selected for this class! We had cages to play in, a furry red room, and a glam bedroom complete with a mirrored vanity that gave us SO MANY different looks!

LAST NOVEMBER I HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO TAKE SOME BOUDOIR CLASSES IN NASHVILLE WITH THE BOUDOIR CLASS. ONE OF THE CLASSES I SIGNED UP FOR WAS INTIMACY IN MALE PORTRAITURE WITH NEIL MEL. NEIL IS AMAZING AT PHOTOGRAPHING THE MALE FORM IN A BEAUTIFL AND NATURAL WAY. I HAVE FOLLOWED HIS WORK FOR SEVERAL YEARS NOW AND FELL IN LOVE WITH THE WAY HE CAPTURES EMOTION IN HIS IMAGES, SO AS SOON AS I SAW HIS NAME ON THE EDUCATOR ROSTER I JUMPED AT THE CHANCE TO LEARN FROM HIM.
